Ween: Live in Chicago

Dir. Zane Vella | 2003 | 112 min

NEW LOWER PRICE! Spanning two shows on Ween's tour behind their Quebec album, this bountiful set covers the eclectic alternative outfit's career.

Chocolate, cheese, and songs about fucking ... from the late '80s to the early '10s Gene and Dean Ween ploughed a singular furrow of experimental alt-rock and absurdist humor, drawing on everything from lo-fi and country to prog, psych-pop, and Philly soul and building a corps of disciples. This crisply shot, tightly edited concert film compiled from a pair of rousing 2003 shows at Chicago's Vic Theatre finds the band in fine sonic fettle, tossing a majestic cover of Led Zeppelin's "All of My Love" into a mix of classics from Ween's first decade and a half.
